Why we built CalcFees

It started with a frustrated eBay seller who thought she was making $15 profit per sale — until she ran the numbers and realized she was making $1.45 after fees. Platform fees are deliberately confusing, split across multiple types, buried in help docs, and changed without much notice.

CalcFees exists to fix that. Every calculator is built against the official fee schedule of each platform, verified monthly, and designed to show the full picture — not just the headline rate.

Our principles

• Free, forever. No paywalls, no login required. Every tool is available to everyone.
• Accurate, always. We verify every fee monthly against official sources. If a platform changes rates, we update within days.
• Privacy by default. All calculations run in your browser. We never see or store any numbers you enter.
• Honest comparisons. We show every platform's fees fairly — including the ones with the highest rates.

How we verify fee data

Every calculator is built from official platform pricing pages, cross-referenced against official help centers, platform announcements, and reports from active sellers. Each calculator displays its last-verified date.
